The role
Pot8o AI is an AI company builder. We create, own, and operate AI-native software companies, starting with EnglishLM.
This is not a traditional marketing role. You will own growth strategy and execution across content, SEO, conversion, lifecycle marketing, and analytics.
You must be a marketer who can code. You will use Cursor as your primary development environment to build marketing tools and integrations, automate repetitive work, and implement your ideas.
You do not need to be an expert in every marketing discipline. You should be an exceptional problem solver who can move comfortably between strategy, analysis, content, automation, and implementation.
Responsibilities
This is a broad, hands-on ownership role. You will set strategy, execute the work, measure results, and build systems that help successful programs scale.
Content and SEO
- Own the content and organic search strategy across Pot8o AI and its portfolio companies.
- Research, create, publish, distribute, and improve blog posts, guest posts, guides, ebooks, whitepapers, and other useful content.
- Build scalable programmatic SEO systems rather than relying only on individual pages.
- Own keyword research, competitor analysis, on-page SEO, technical SEO, off-page SEO, link building, content refreshes, and search-performance monitoring.
- Use AI throughout the content workflow while maintaining strong editorial judgment, accuracy, quality, and a consistent brand voice.
Social media and distribution
- Own content planning and publishing across relevant social channels.
- Create posts, graphics, and short-form content, and manage scheduling and community engagement.
- Build AI-assisted workflows that make social publishing and repurposing more efficient.
- Track traffic, engagement, qualified signups, and conversions—not just follower counts.
- Develop additional distribution through influencers, podcasts, digital media, partnerships, collaborations, and founder-led thought leadership.
Customer advocacy
- Turn successful customers into a repeatable growth channel.
- Create customer case studies, written and video testimonials, newsletters, customer stories, and advocacy campaigns.
- Build systems for generating reviews, referrals, and customer-led proof.
Product marketing
- Own product positioning, messaging, website copy, landing pages, product pages, and sales-support materials.
- Plan and execute product launches, feature announcements, and product updates.
- Research competitors and translate product capabilities into clear, credible reasons for customers to choose our products.
Marketing automation and lifecycle
- Select, configure, integrate, and improve the marketing automation stack.
- Build email sequences, onboarding programs, lifecycle communication, lead-nurturing workflows, and behavioral segmentation.
- Develop cross-sell, upsell, retention, and re-engagement programs.
- Use APIs, AI, and automation platforms to replace repetitive manual work with reliable, personalized workflows.
Conversion optimization
- Own conversion across the customer journey: visitor → signup → activated user → paid customer → retained customer → advocate.
- Instrument and analyze the funnel to identify the highest-impact bottlenecks.
- Run A/B tests and improve landing pages, signup flows, onboarding, activation, trial-to-paid conversion, pricing, and checkout.
- Develop, prioritize, ship, and measure growth experiments continuously.
Website ownership
- Own large parts of our marketing websites, including creating pages, publishing content, maintaining site quality, and implementing SEO improvements.
- Build landing pages and interactive marketing experiences using modern web-development tools.
- Own website performance and accessibility.
- Apply strong visual judgment so our websites feel modern, polished, credible, and easy to use.
Reporting and analytics
- Build a reliable view of acquisition, product usage, activation, conversion, retention, and revenue.
- Combine data from web analytics, search platforms, product analytics, CRM, email, and other systems.
- Measure channel performance, campaign attribution, customer acquisition cost, and marketing-sourced revenue.
- Turn data into clear insights, priorities, and actions—not just dashboards.
Technical expectations
Intermediate coding ability is required. Cursor will help you work faster, but it is not a substitute for understanding code. You should have enough technical foundation to evaluate AI-generated code, debug problems, and independently take a solution from idea to production.
- Write, read, modify, and debug working code in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or a similar language.
- Understand frontend development, backend concepts, APIs, databases, authentication, analytics events, and deployment basics.
- Use Cursor throughout the development process—including planning, implementation, debugging, testing, refactoring, and documentation.
- Build and deploy landing pages, internal marketing tools, scripts, dashboards, and growth experiments.
- Integrate marketing, analytics, CRM, email, content, and other third-party platforms through APIs and webhooks.
- Use Git and GitHub to manage changes and ship production-quality work.
- Build AI-assisted content workflows for research, drafting, editing, quality review, publishing, and optimization.
- Automate repetitive work across SEO, reporting, social media, email, customer lifecycle, and other marketing operations.
- Review and test AI-generated code for correctness, reliability, security, and maintainability.
What we’re looking for
- Fewer than five years of total professional experience, with experience spanning both coding/software development and marketing/growth
- Strong experience in growth marketing, growth engineering, or marketing technology
- Hands-on experience growing a software or internet product
- Strong understanding of SEO, conversion, and lifecycle marketing
- Intermediate coding proficiency and experience building websites, integrations, automations, or internal tools
- Analytical thinking and comfort working with growth and product data
- Excellent written communication
- Strong product and visual judgment
- Ability to prioritize, work independently, and ship quickly
- Focus on revenue and customer outcomes rather than vanity metrics
Useful, but not required: Experience with B2B SaaS, product-led growth, programmatic SEO, React or Next.js, PostHog, HubSpot, Customer.io, n8n, Semrush, Ahrefs, or similar platforms.
How success will be measured
- Organic and qualified traffic growth
- Signup, activation, and paid conversion
- Customer acquisition cost and marketing-sourced revenue
- Retention and customer advocacy
- Experiment velocity and quality
- Effectiveness of the systems and automations you build
The goal is not simply to produce more marketing. It is to build a scalable growth engine for Pot8o AI and its companies.
